Natural food manufacturer TerraSana from the Netherlands has started a recall of various peanut products. In the organic foods, which are also offered on the nature of the specialist trade in Germany-food, was found to be a particular strain of fungi.

“As a precautionary measure, we have decided to call the complete Erdnussmus, which has been produced from the same raw material batch,” writes the company in a statement published by the Swiss Federal food safety and veterinary office.

Consumers are asked to consume the products and to dispose of it. A heating of the food is not able to these toxic metabolism to eliminate products.
According to the Federal Institute for risk assessment (BfR) aflatoxins substances “of the strongest naturally occurring toxins and carcinogenic”.
According to the experts aflatoxins have been shown in animal experiments carcinogenic effects (especially liver cancer).
And the people will be discussed “in the Occurrence of liver cancer, a possible connection with the Hepatitis B Virus”.
